I am having trouble downloading my backed-up files from my old computer onto a new Dell with Windows 10. I purchased a WD 'My Passport Ultra' with 1TB and downloaded my Documents, Pictures, Desktop, etc. From my old computer (HP - Windows 7). I used up 378GB of space. When I plug it into the new Dell, I am unable to find these files.

All I was able to do was load the WD Apps Setup from the 'files' that were an option for me. (At that point, I was also able to register the WD.) When I was unable to find and download my files, I called WD. However, they told me that there is now Microsoft stuff on the list of 'files' and that they could not help me because they might mess up my backup. I was told to call Microsoft.

Their tech was not able to help me (after 30 minutes of trying and definitely not knowing what she was doing) and told me to call WD!! Setting up this new computer has turned into a nightmare, especially for this untechnical G'mom! And, unfortunately, my 8 year old G'son lives too far away to help me!
