It's my guess that the paper is a squosh to thick for many DVD readers, especially in humid weather. Avery makes a special label for DVDs; the labels are made of film instead of paper. I haven't found a Photoshop template for the Avery stock, and the last time I checked the Avery software won't run under OS X 10.5.x. We have been producing DVDs for my daughter's HS band this way, and they work just fine, many in regular printers that will take DVD/CDs through their print tray. That way you also avoid the issue of off center labels causing problems when spinning at high speed. I also second the recommendation for Disk Cover and its predecessor Discus. Unless you are into something really elaborate, these provide plenty of options.
