Note that this is the online version, not the desktop version. I read that Intuit announced that QB 2016 for Mac would be the last Mac desktop version produced and they will end support for Mac Desktop on 5/31/2019. Too bad because among many things, I like having the daily backup file to go back to in case I make an error. I like sending my invoices from my own email. Currently you have 4 options:.

Continue using the Mac Desktop version until 5/31/2019 and assume that it may not work after that. Switch to the Windows Desktop version. Free security for mac.
I'm seriously thinking about buying a Windows PC (or using a PC emulator) to avoid using the browser 'cloud' version. Switch to the cloud version (this product). No thank you. Switch to a competitor. Either desktop or cloud based. AccountEdge Pro. This is a 1 year subscription.
The online version is missing many features available in the Desktop Pro version. Notably, jobs. The online version is buggy, I used it for about 1 hr, and got JSON errors and other strange behavior. You can't download/backup the data on a MAC. Downloading requires a PC with Internet explorer with an extension.
Finally, the online version is $50/month for what I needed, expenses/customer. (vs $200/3 years for the Desktop Pro version), so its much more expensive once the year subscription runs out.
Note that you can't migrate the data back to desktop. If you can live with the above, it works. I'll just use bootcamp to run the Pro version.
